Kate David introduced her award-winning series in 2012 with her debut picture book “Murphy and the Magical Hat.” The second book in the series “McKay and the Magical Hat” followed in June 2014 and the third book, “Maddox and the Magical Hat” was released in the summer 2021.
Her main characters use their wild imaginations to open themselves to a world of possibilities and creativity. In October 2016, Kate David Books released a Magical Hat for children to have for their very own! Kate David was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She received her Journalism degree from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. Kate currently resides in Columbus with her three inspirational kids. She is an avid runner, dreamer and creativity inspirer.
